BackgroundThe band formed in Greenville, South Carolina,[1] in 2003.[2] Their members are leading vocalist and rhythm guitarist, Matt Houston, leading guitarist, Jared Houston, drummer, Aaron Bowen, keyboardist, Sanchez Fair, and bass guitarist, Jeff Madden, where the members are background vocalists to their lead vocalist.[1][2] They had, Justin Gilreath, as their drummer, but he left the band in 2007.[2] The band were called, Jethro's Advice, until they got a record deal with Inpop Records, causing them to change their names to The Advice.[1][2] Music historyThe group formed in 2003, with their first major label extended play, The Advice, releasing on July 26, 2011 by Inpop Records.[3] This EP was reviewed by Cross Rhythms,[4] Jesus Freak Hideout,[3] Louder Than the Music,[5] and New Release Tuesday.[6] Their first major label studio album, The Advice, releasing on March 26, 2013 by Inpop Records.[7] This album was reviewed by BREATHEcast,[8] Indie Vision Music,[9] Jesus Freak Hideout,[7] and New Release Tuesday.[10] Members
