BackgroundVic Simms was convicted of a robbery in 1968 and was serving his seven year sentence in Bathurst Gaol.[1] While imprisoned he taught himself guitar and started song writing.[1] The Robin Hood Foundation sent his demo tape to RCA Limited, which organised a mobile studio to be sent to the prison.[1] Simms recorded his solo live album, The Loner, over one hour and it was released in 1973.[1][2]Track listingAll tracks were written by Vic Simms (as William Victor Simms).[3]
