FormationThe press was formed in 2008 by Shamit Patel, originally starting as a website providing news on subjects such as entertainment and sport, as well as publishing student opinions on current affairs. Following continuing success, funding was provided by the students' union allowing the press to go into print in September 2010. Since then the newspaper is released quarterley throughout the year (September, November, February, and June) and made available on university campuses and throughout the city, as well as maintaining the press website. The Looprevil Press works very closely with the student radio - Looprevil Radio. Press identityThe name "Looprevil" Press is "Liverpool" backwards, and the tagline of the paper is "Bringing you the other side of Liverpool". Both were done to express the duality of both, the fun student life and conducting professional journalism.
