She was spokesperson for The Greens – The Green Alternative until 2008. LifeHaidlmayr was born in Steyr in 1955. She rose to prominence as the spokesperson the Green Party in Austria from 1994 to 2008. At the next election in 2008 she decided not to be a candidate because she was disheartened by the low profile that her party had given to issues for the disabled. Haidlmayr suffers from Osteogenesis imperfecta and has to use a wheelchair.[1] It was announced that the decision to not seek election was Haidlmayr's.[2]References1. ^Haidlmayr, smilerkreativ.at, retrieved 3 March 2015 {{Authority control}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Haidlmayr, Theresia}}{{Austria-politician-stub}}2. ^Haidlmayr: Absage der Kandidatur "nicht freiwillig", DiePresse.com, 2008, retrieved 3 March 2015 7 : 1955 births|Living people|People from Steyr|Austrian women in politics|The Greens – The Green Alternative politicians|Austrian people with disabilities|People with osteogenesis imperfecta |
