OverviewFounded in 2000, The Woodlands Prep International School is an IB World School enrolling students from students from Pre-school all the way through 12 grade. The Woodlands Prep is the only school in the Houston area, and 1 of only four schools in all of Texas, to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum program for all three programs, Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program, and Diploma Program. The School provides an education that is reflective of a globalized society, in the style that suits each of their individual needs. IB ProgramAs an IB World School, which means is accredited to offer IB's exclusive and rigorous programs. The IB curriculum is designed to challenge students to excel in their studies and places emphasis on students' personal development and academic achievement. The goal of the IB programs is to encourage students of all ages to think critically, challenge assumptions, consider both local and global contexts, build social responsibility, and develop multilingual abilities and other skills that are vital to succeed in a globalized society. CampusAt that time it had a plan for additional construction in four phases, along with standalone projects for laboratories, foreign language education, and a science education facility.. Phase II includes a culinary educational centre, cafeteria, and kitchen, olympic gym and a fine arts facility, located together in what would be the "South Building."
