Thomas Sanctuary (1814-1889) was Archdeacon of Dorset ^[1] from 1862^[2] until his death on 27 May 1889.^[3]

He was educated at Exeter College, Oxford ^[4] and ordained in 1845.^[5] He was Rector of Powerstock^[6]

for over 40 years and a Canon Residentiary at Salisbury Cathedral from 1875.^[7]
