}}Tinantia pringlei, sometimes known as the Mexican wandering Jew, is a perennial alpine plant in the dayflower family native to northeastern Mexico.[1] The species is grown as an ornamental plant in temperate areas for its attractive spotted purple foliage and lavender flowers. It is also a common weed of greenhouses. The plants reproduce primarily or exclusively through self-pollination.[2] References1. ^1 Kew World Checklist of Selected Plant Families 2. ^{{citation|last=Hardy|first=Christopher R.| last2=Ryndock| first2=Jason| title=Floral Morphology and Organogenesis in Tinantia pringlei, Along with a Review of Floral Developmental Variation in the Spiderwort Family, Commelinaceae| journal=Botanical Review| year=2012| doi=10.1007/s12229-012-9108-1| volume=78|issue=4|pages=416–427}} External links
