(an acronym for This Is Not The Album) is a mixtape by Ghanaian neo soul singer Efya. It was released by One Nation Entertainment on November 11, 2013, and made available for free digital download. The mixtape features a guest appearance from Black Magic and was supported by two singles: "Getaway" and "Best In Me". In addition to consisting of songs that were released between 2011 and 2013, the mixtape also consists of songs that didn't make the final track listing for the singer's debut studio album Janesis (2015).[1][3][4] T.I.N.T. was made available for purchase on January 1, 2014 on iTunes.[5] CompositionT.I.N.T. embodies elements of neo soul, jazz and R&B. "A Moments Notice" is a song with a soul-inspired theme. In the Latin-inspired "This Life", Efya explores her vocal range. In "Little Things", she talks about silly things that people do when they become complacent with their significant other. In "Nothing", Efya mixes her native dialect (Twi) with Yoruba. "Falou" is a cover of Duncan Mighty's single "Obianuju".[6] In "Weather 4 Two," Efya sings about the feeling people get from making love to their significant other. In an interview posted on the Modern Ghana website, she described the song as a slow sensual cuddle song.[7] "Body" is a cover of Chris Brown's "Don't Judge Me"; Efya uses the song to address the media's impingement into her life. "Commot" features vocals from Black Magic and is a blend of soul and jazz.[6]SinglesOn November 10, 2011, Efya released the mixtape's lead single "Getaway". The music video for the song was shot and directed in and around Accra by Sony Addo.[8][9] She released the mixtape's second single "Best In Me" on February 14, 2012.[10] Uploaded onto YouTube on September 20, 2013, its music video was directed by OJ of Big OJ Films. Sarkodie played the role of Efya's love interest in the video.[11][12] Critical receptionThe mixtape received generally positive reviews from music critics. Tayo Ayomide of Nigerian Entertainment Today gave the mixtape 4 stars out of 5, saying, "T.I.N.T. is filled with layered and soulful production which doesn’t overshadow Efya’s rich voice. Rather it is the perfect backdrop for the singer to work her magic. [It] is a soulful blend of songs mixed with West African sensibilities. As Nigeria and Ghana markets begin to merge, Efya might just be the sub-region’s first soul star."[6] Track listing{{Track listing| headline = | extra_column = | total_length = 47:00 | all_writing = Jane Awindor | lyrics_credits = | music_credits = | title1 = This Life | note1 = | writer1 = | extra1 = | length1 = 2:28 | title2 = Little Things | note2 = | writer2 = | extra2 = | length2 = 3:20 | title3 = Best In Me | note3 = | writer3 = | extra3 = | length3 = 3:27 | title4 = A Moments Notice | note4 = | writer4 = | extra4 = | length4 = 2:41 | title5 = Weather 4 Two | note5 = | writer5 = | extra5 = | length5 = 3:52 | title6 = Sexy Sassy Wahala | note6 = | writer6 = | extra6 = | length6 = 2:44 | title7 = Nothing | note7 = | writer7 = | extra7 = | length7 = 4:14 | title8 = Falou | note8 = | writer8 = | extra8 = | length8 = 4:39 | title9 = Cigarette | note9 = | writer9 = | extra9 = | length9 = 3:51 | title10 = Changes | note10 = | writer10 = | extra10 = | length10 = 4:32 | title11 = Commot | note11 = featuring Black Magic | writer11 = | extra11 = | length11 = 3:28 | title12 = Getaway | note12 = | writer12 = | extra12 = | length12 = 4:12 | title13 = Body | note13 = | writer13 = | extra13 = | length13 = 4:02 }} Personnel{{col-start}}
