}} Tortrix sinapina, the Japanese oak leafroller, is a species of moth of the family Tortricidae. It is found in the Russian Far East (Ussuri), China (Zhejiang) and Japan (Honshu, Hokkaido). The wingspan is 18–25 mm.[2] The larvae feed on Quercus mongolica, Quercus dentata, Lespedeza bicolor, Tilia japonica and Sorbus alnifolia.[3] They roll the leaves of their host plant, creating a cigar-shaped shelter from which they feed. The larvae are green or whitish-green with a black head. The species overwinters as an egg.[4] References1. ^tortricidae.com {{Wikispecies}}{{Commons}}{{Taxonbar|from=Q4051609}}{{Tortricini-stub}}2. ^Japanese Moths 3. ^Tortrix at funet 4. ^[https://books.google.nl/books?id=ktUUAAAAIAAJ&pg=PA168&lpg=PA168&dq=Tortrix+sinapina&source=bl&ots=jdmyGZUUgX&sig=ARga8r0oF-CX8GnFj4yh8zAUU8s&hl=nl&sa=X&ei=lbFMVcvXDYuisAG7nIHwBA&ved=0CE0Q6AEwBzgU#v=onepage&q=Tortrix%20sinapina&f=false Lepidopterous Fauna of the USSR and Adjacent Countries] 6 : Moths described in 1879|Tortricini|Moths of Russia|Moths of China|Moths of Japan|Taxa named by Arthur Gardiner Butler |
