The area of the district is {{convert|2612|km2|sp=us}}.[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Letnyaya Stavka.[3] Population: {{ru-census2010|25,948|;}} 28,045 (2002 Census);[5] 27,070 (1989 Census).[6] The population of Letnyaya Stavka accounts for 17.1% of the district's total population.
