According to provisional statistics from the Ministry of Labor & Employment, Govt. of India, TUCC had a membership of more than 1.6 million in 2011.{{citation needed|date=December 2016}} The 10th National Conference of TUCC was held at Nagpur,Maharashtra in January 2019 and elected a new Central Committee. At present Com. Sheo Prasad Tiwari is the General Secretary and President Hans Raj Akela . The trade union is free organization and not under the influence of any political outfit. As per its constitution, it is an independent body acting for the up-gradation and growth of the working mass of the Indian economy.
