The lake has a rough oval shape about 1200 feet long by 600 feet wide oriented east-west. The lake lies just east of a northwest-southeast trending ridgeline with an unnamed peak about 1000 feet to the south at an elevation of 11834 feet and another about 3000 feet to he northwest at an elevation of 12070 feet.
