She has worked with top notch directors like Anurag Basu, Anurag Kashyap, Ashwini Dhir, Prasoon Pandey, Vinyl Matthew. She has worked with actors like Madhuri Dixit, Salman Khan, Vidya Balan, Yuvraj Singh, etc. She as a child actor working since the age of 6yrs. She became a household name after playing the role of Tara in Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai[1] that is ranked as among the top shows of the channel. She has also appeared in Teri Meri Love Stories as Kareena along with Rahul Sharma and in more than 350+ TV commercials; AstralPipes, Cadbury, Oral-B, Vicks, Airtel, MTS, Pond's, Dabur Aamla, Good Day Cookies, Maggi, Whisper Choice, Hair N Care, Dominos, SBI, Mederma, Parachute Advansed Jasmine Hair Oil and so on. She shot for two finite series Ek Tha Chander Ek Thi Sudha and Devi. She played one of the major roles (Nina) in the POGO TV serial Sunaina. CareerUmang Jain started her career at a very young age, when she was featured in a weekly Indian show, Justujoo on Zee TV in 2002, and in 2006, she appeared in Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai, a Hindi suspense-thriller on STAR One. She has also done several print ads (featured pic: Lawrence & Mayo) and promos for media channels like NDTV and MTV.[2] Umang's charm and talent wasn't just limited to the small screen; she forayed into the Hindi film industry with Love Breakups Zindagi[3] (October 2011), in which she acted alongside acclaimed stars (divas) – Dia Mirza, Auritra Ghosh, Tisca Chopra and Pallavi Sharda! Her second movie, Shakal Pe Mat Ja, a comedy drama released a month later. Although these two movies couldn't make a lasting mark, Umang wasn't bogged down by it, as she bagged a Malayalam thriller, Aaru Sundarimaarude Katha (2013), a women-centric movie. She played an aspiring tennis player, which apparently is her favorite sport. After leaving her mark in Devi[4] and Ek Tha Chander Ek Thi Sudha,[5] Umang was seen in a new avatar as Tara in the long-running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.[6] Soon Tara became one of the important characters of the show and she was loved and praised by many fans for her honesty and sweetness. About character, Umang said, "I play Tara in the show. She is a hockey player, who is slightly rough on the edges as she has been raised in a family of men but she is a soft and sweet person inside.
