It responded negatively to the Annan Plan. Like the Progressive Party of Working People, the organisation supports rapprochement with the Turkish Cypriots. Participation in political events and demonstrationsThe organization takes part in all the events organised by AKEL and annually demonstrates on the 18th of July against the Greek coup and the Turkish Invasion of Cyprus. The organization takes part in the main conferences of AKEL which are held every 5 years and are attended by thousands of the political party's supporters. The organization also organizes its own conferences which also take place every 5 years.
