United States women's national goalball team is the women's national team of the United States. It takes part in international goalball competitions. Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for athletes with a vision impairment. The team can consist of up to six athletes, and three team staff when on court, and may also have team managers. The team was one of six teams participating, and they finished first overall.[1] The 1986 World Championships were held in Roermond, the Netherlands. The team was one of ten teams participating, and they finished first overall.[1] The 1990 World Championships were held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The team was one of seven teams participating, and they finished second overall.[1] The 1994 World Championships were held in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The team was one of nine teams participating, and they finished eighth overall.[1] The 1998 World Championships were held in Madrid, Spain. The team was one of eleven teams participating, and they finished third overall.[1] The 2002 World Championships were held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The team was one of ten teams participating, and they finished first overall.[1] 2018 MalmöRepresenting the 2018 team for the championships are: Lisa Czechowski (Fort Wayne, Indiana), Amanda Dennis (Peachtree City, Georgia), Marybai Huking (Plain City, Utah), Eliana Mason (Beaverton, Oregon), Asya Miller (Portland, Oregon), Bryanna Stubbert (Oceanside, California). Head coach is Jake Czechowski (Fort Wayne, Indiana). Stubbert is new to the team. Former national goalball high-performance director John Potts was appointed as team leader for both the men's and women's teams.[2] IBSA Pan-American GamesThe 2005 São Paulo hosted IBSA Pan-American Games women's goalball competition had three teams competing: Brazil, Canada and the United States.
