ProductionFollowing the success of Jeeva (2014), Suseenthiran announced that his next film revolve around events taking place in South Chennai. Suseenthiran subsequently announced that Harish Kalyan and Sri would be seen in the leading roles, while Harish Uthaman and Nandakumar would play the villains.[2] Samskruthy Shenoy, who had previously been seen in Malayalam films, was signed on to play one of the three leading female roles.[3] The other two roles were given to Srushti Dange and Chandini Tamilarasan, who would play a college student and a slum dweller, respectively.[4][5] Navin, who composed music for Kalyana Samayal Saadham (2013), was chosen to compose the film's music, while Star Productions and Nallu Studios co-produce the venture.[6] Despite reports which claimed Suseenthiran himself would direct it, he chose to only present it and newcomer Ramesh was signed as director. The film began shoot in Coimbatore in early October 2014 with a working title of Nerukku Ner, while it has also previously been dubbed as Agni Natchathiram. Notably both titles are yesteryear films featuring dual lead characters, as like the roles of Sri and Harish Kalyan in the venture.[7][8] In April 2015, the official title was revealed to be Vil Ambu, with actress Kajal Aggarwal launching the film's motion poster.[9] SoundtrackMusic is composed by Navin. {{Infobox album| name = Vil Ambu | type = Soundtrack | artist = Navin | cover = | alt = | released = September 2015 (India) | recorded = 2015 | venue = | studio = | genre = Feature film soundtrack | length = | label = Orange Music | producer = | prev_title = Oru Naal Iravil | prev_year = 2015 | next_title = Nibunan | next_year = 2017 }}{{tracklist | headline = Track listing | extra_column = Singer(s) | total_length = 12:61 | title1 = Ala Sachuputta Kannala | extra1 = Anirudh Ravichander | length1 = 04:27 | title2 = Kurum Padame | extra2 = G. Also the only problem in the story is its transparency, it becomes a challenge for the storyteller to retain the connect developed with the audience in the first half."[11]References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://indianexpress.com/article/entertainment/regional/vil-ambu-a-film-on-how-society-influences-commoners/|title=‘Vil Ambu’, a film on how society influences commoners|date=7 April 2015|work=The Indian Express}} 2. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.behindwoods.com/tamil-movies-cinema-news-14/madras-and-pandiya-nadu-menace-for-suseenthirans-next.html|title=Madras and Pandiya Nadu menace for Suseenthiran's next!|publisher=}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.indiaglitz.com/Suseenthiran-Picks-Vijays-Title-For-His-Next-tamil-news-115889|title=Suseenthiran picks Vijays title for his next|publisher=}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.newindianexpress.com/entertainment/tamil/Packing-Punches-in-Acchamindri/2015/04/06/article2749237.ece|title='Packing Punches in Acchamindri'|work=The New Indian Express}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.newindianexpress.com/entertainment/tamil/I-Like-Stepping-out-of-my-Comfort-Zone/2015/04/01/article2740250.ece|title='I Like Stepping out of my Comfort Zone'|work=The New Indian Express}} 6. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.onlykollywood.com/harish-kalyan-to-star-in-suseenthiran-nerukku-ner-film/|title=Harish Kalyan to star in Suseenthiran's next - Only Kollywood|author=Only Kollywood|work=Only Kollywood}} 7. ^{{cite web|url=http://behindwoods.com/tamil-movies-cinema-news-14/nerukku-ner-again.html|title=The title Nerukku Ner again ?|publisher=}} 8. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.indiaglitz.com/suseenthirans-next-to-have-suriyas-debut-film-connection-tamil-news-115079|title=Suseenthirans next to have Suriyas debut film connection|publisher=}} 9. ^{{cite web|url=http://silverscreen.in/media/kajal-aggarwal-launches-vil-ambu-motion-poster/|title=Kajal Aggarwal Launches Vil Ambu Motion Poster|work=Silverscreen.in}} 10. ^http://www.rediff.com/movies/report/review-vil-ambu-is-worth-a-watch/20160214.htm 11. ^http://www.behindwoods.com/tamil-movies/vil-ambu/vil-ambu-review.html External links
