Voicu is a Romanian surname of Hungarian origin. Notable people with this surname include: - Voicu (?-?), (Vajk in Hungarian, Wojk in some historical sources), was a Vlach Knyaz (Cnezat) of the Hunedoara domain; son of Şerban (Serbe) and father of John Hunyadi, who was a Voivode of Transylvania (from 1441), captain-general (1444–1446) and regent (1446–1453) of the Kingdom of Hungary. He was also the father of Matthias Corvinus of Hungary, one of its most renowned kings.
