It's surrounded by Dafu Town and Songmutang Town on the northwest, Huangcai Town on the northeast, and Xiangzikou Town on the south. {{As of|2000|alt=As of the 2000}} census it had a population of 14,532 and an area of {{convert|42.8|km2}}. Administrative divisionThe township is divided into ten villages: Bajiaoxi Village ({{zh|t=|s=八角溪村|hp=|labels=no}}), Wishan Village ({{zh|t=|s=沩山村|hp=|labels=no}}), Weiqing Village ({{zh|t=|s=沩清村|hp=|labels=no}}), Weiyuan Village ({{zh|t=|s=沩源村|hp=|labels=no}}), Xiyuan Village ({{zh|t=|s=西元村|hp=|labels=no}}), Tongqing Village ({{zh|t=|s=同庆村|hp=|labels=no}}), Zuta Village ({{zh|t=|s=祖塔村|hp=|labels=no}}), Huixinqiao Village ({{zh|t=|s=回心桥村|hp=|labels=no}}) and Shuanglongtan Village ({{zh|t=|s=双龙潭村|hp=|labels=no}}). GeographyThe Xiaolongtan Reservoir ({{zh|t=|s=小龙潭水库|hp=|labels=no}}) is located in the township and discharges into the Wei River.[1] EconomyThe local people grow industrial crops including tobacco, Tea, peach, {{Interlanguage link multi|Weishan Maojian|zh|3=沩山毛尖}}, tofu, fish, silicon and capsicum annuum, which are important to the local economy.[1] The region abounds with iron.[1] CultureHuaguxi is the most influential form of local theater. AttractionsMiyin Temple, was built in 813 on Wei Mountain by Weishan Lingyou, in the eighth year of the Yuanhe era of the Tang dynasty (618–907). It is a well known Buddhist temple associated to Weiyang school in China .
