William Jaffray (March 6, 1832[1] – September 29, 1896[2]) was an English-born publisher and politician in Ontario, Canada. He served as mayor of Berlin from 1882 to 1883.[1]

The son of Peter Jaffray, a native of Scotland, and Mary Ann Gittins, he was born in Shrewsbury. In 1851, his father established the Galt Reporter in 1847; Jaffray joined him as a partner in 1851. He became editor of the Galt Reporter and Berlin Chronicle in 1856. In 1862, Jarray became Berlin's postmaster and, in 1864, became express and telegraph agent.[1]

He married Agnes Jackson in 1854.[1]

His brother Richard served as mayor of Galt.[2]
