William Johnston Allen (1835 – 12 June 1915) was an Irish-born Australian politician. He was the son of soap manufacturer William Bell Allen, also later a New South Wales politician, and Ruth Sayers Johnston. he arrived in Sydney in 1841, and joined his father in the soap and candle business. On 21 April 1868 he married Edith Isabella Crew; they had eight children. In 1888 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as a Protectionist member for Paddington, but he was defeated the following year.
