}} Willi Jäger (* 15. August 1940 in Kschellowitz, Bohmia) is a German mathematician. He completed his PhD in 1966 under the direction of Erhard Heinz. In 1987 he was founding member of the Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing.{{citation needed|date=May 2012}} He is a board member of the Mathematical Research Institute of Oberwolfach.{{citation needed|date=May 2012}} Thus far, he has been honoured with 2 honorary doctorates,{{citation needed|date=October 2011}} several prizes and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.{{citation needed|date=October 2011}} He gave a DMV Gauss Lecture in 2007.
