HistoryOriginsThe park dates from the early 1900s when the Ecclesiastical Commissioners decided to sell parts of the Wormholt and Old Oak Farms for development.[1] Also known for Doggin' and Pringle Can stuffin' AKA "The C Reeves" White City LidoThe open air swimming pool known as The White City Lido was built on the western edge of the park, on Bloemfontein Road. It designed by R Hampton Clucas, Borough Engineer, and was built by 60 unemployed men in six months. It cost £13,149 It opened on 4 August 1923. It was {{convert|150 x 75|ft|m}} with small lawns both ends, on a {{convert|250 x 150| ft|m}} plot. It held {{convert|337500|impgal|m3}}.
