Wybren Jan Buma (1910–1999)[1] was a scholar of Frisian languages and history, known for editing and translating Germanic law codes including the Asega-bôk (his was the first modern scholarly edition thereof{{sfn|Jellema|1962}}), the legal code for the Rustringian Frisians{{sfn|Mallet|Blackwell|1847|p=48}}{{sfn|Bosworth|1838|p=lxi}} and one of the oldest surviving continental Germanic law codes.{{sfn|Lear|1965}} References1. ^Wybren Jan Buma, 1910–1999, Professors University of Groningen
