}}Xanthophyllum schizocarpon is a tree in the family Polygalaceae. The specific epithet {{lang|el|schizocarpon}} is from the Greek meaning "split fruit", referring to the deeply furrowed fruit.[2]DescriptionXanthophyllum schizocarpon grows up to {{convert|25|m|-1}} tall with a trunk diameter of up to {{convert|35|cm|0}}. The smooth bark is grey or brownish. The flowers are yellow. The roundish fruits are greenish to yellowish brown and measure up to {{convert|1.5|cm|in|1|abbr=on}} in diameter.[2]Distribution and habitatXanthophyllum schizocarpon is endemic to Borneo.
