There is 2 sections in Shawela, and three community leaders. Mahumani ville and main Shawela are the sections found in Shawela. Mahumani ville is led by Ndhuna Makhongele and main shawela have two leadera known as Ndhuna Manganyi and Ndhuna Cuma. PoliticsThe leading political party is the ANC and the Ward Councillor is William Mthombeni.
