HistoryUnXis was formed when the operating assets of The SCO Group, which had been in bankruptcy for several years, were acquired in a public auction in April 2011 by Stephen L. Norris and a Middle East private equity group for the price of $600,000.[2] In particular, the company took over the product names, ownership, and maintenance of The SCO Group's flagship operating system products, OpenServer and UnixWare.[3][3] The SCO Group's litigation rights against IBM and Novell did not transfer to UnXis, and The SCO Group subsequently renamed itself to The TSG Group.[2][3] UnXis, and later Xinuos, indicated in 2011, and again in 2013, that it has no involvement in any ongoing aspects of that litigation.[4][5] Initially, UnXis was headquartered in Nevada and its CEO was Richard Bolandz.[2] In June 2013, it changed its name to Xinuos.[6] By then its President was Sean Snyder.[6] The company has facilities in California, Europe and Asia.{{Infobox company | name = Xinuos, Inc. | logo = Xinuos Inc Logo.png | type = Private | foundation = {{Start date and age|2011}} | founders = | key_people = Sean Snyder | location_city = Berkeley, California | location_country = U.S. | area_served = Worldwide | industry = Computer software | products = OpenServer 10 OpenServer 6 OpenServer 5 UnixWare 7 | homepage = {{URL|http://www.xinuos.com/}} }}In June 2015, Xinuos announced OpenServer 10, which is based on the FreeBSD operating system.
