She was able to compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing the following month.[4] The hospital was renamed after the former Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Shamir in April 2017. ServicesIt is one of Israel's largest hospitals, with 800 beds.[1][5] It serves over 370,000 people in Central Israel.[1][5] As a teaching facility, the hospital is part of the Sackler Faculty of Medicine of Tel Aviv University.[1] On its grounds are the first and largest Israeli academic nursing school and the oldest Israeli school of physiotherapy.[1] References1. ^1 2 3 4 {{cite web|url=http://ahmc.netguide.co.il/about.htm#general |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20111130061257/http://ahmc.netguide.co.il/about.htm |archivedate=November 30, 2011 |title=Assaf Harofeh Medical Center – About AHMC |publisher=Ahmc.netguide.co.il |date= |accessdate=January 12, 2016}} {{Hospitals in Israel}}{{coord|31|57|59.76|N|34|50|23.21|E|type:landmark|display=title}}2. ^1 2 {{cite web|url=http://ahmc.netguide.co.il/about.htm#History |title=Assaf Harofeh Medical Center |publisher=Ahmc.netguide.co.il |date= |accessdate=November 11, 2011}} 3. ^{{cite book|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=G45ONbSajpAC&pg=PT235&dq=%22Assaf+HaRofeh%22&hl=en&ei=1ou8Tq6MDqn10gGju6i4BA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CDYQ6AEwADgK#v=onepage&q=%22Assaf%20HaRofeh%22&f=false |title=The complete idiot's guide to the Talmud |author=Aaron Parry |publisher=Penguin |year=2004 |accessdate=November 11, 2011}} 4. ^{{cite news|url=http://www.jpost.com/LandedPages/PrintArticle.aspx?id=111312 |title=Health Scan; Defeating the Disease |work=The Jerusalem Post |author= Judy Siegal-Itzkovich|date= |accessdate=November 10, 2011}} 5. ^1 {{cite book|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=fvwCvwUsIn0C&pg=PA273&dq=%22Assaf+HaRofeh%22&hl=en&ei=84q8TofBKOXq0gGt0u3cBA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CDwQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=%22Assaf%20HaRofeh%22&f=false |title=Patients Beyond Borders: Everybody's Guide to Affordable, World-Class Medical Travel |author=Josef Woodman |publisher= |year=2008 |accessdate=November 11, 2011}} 3 : Hospitals established in 1918|Teaching hospitals in Israel|Buildings and structures in Central District (Israel) |
