Originally serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday between 1991-1993, the six chapters were later collected and aggregated into a single volume.[1] The story depicts the final tournament of high school baseball, at the Hanshin Koushien Stadium in Nishinomiya, Japan. The story's main characters are the high school baseball players Shigeo Nagashima and Kazuhisa Inao, whose names are taken from real-life Japanese baseball players Shigeo Nagashima and Kazuhisa Inao: the names are written differently in Japanese, while they are identical if written using the English alphabet. Gosho Aoyama referenced this early work in his Detective Conan manga. In the Koshien Bomber Case, chapters 445-449, and the anime adaptation special "Miracle at Koshien Ball Park! The Defiants Face the Dark Demon".[2] References1. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.shogakukan.co.jp/comics/detail/_isbn_4091218466 | title=4番サード | publisher=Shogakukan | accessdate=22 August 2013}} {{Weekly Shōnen Sunday - 1990–1999}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Yoban Sado}}2. ^{{cite web|title=~ Baseball Cinderella ~ 4番サード A 'Yoban Saado ~ Third Base Fourth' Page|url=http://www.mischif.net/data/yoban.htm|accessdate=August 22, 2013|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20080309104023/http://www.mischif.net/data/yoban.htm#links|archivedate=March 9, 2008}} 4 : 1991 manga|Gosho Aoyama|Shogakukan manga|Shōnen manga |
