The 30 attendees between the ages of 18 and 35 are selected from a pool of applicants—primarily from non-Western countries—who have demonstrated their commitment to social causes and social change in their applications.[4] The organization also funds the travel expenses and accommodation of selected journalists between the ages of 18 and 35 to attend and subsequently cover their summer schools and conferences.[5] The organization publishes a bi-monthly in English and Russian; the magazine states that it has a circulation of 28,000 with 65% of its subscribers based in Russia, 20% in Germany, and 15% in the Czech Republic.[3][6] According to Echo24, Youth Time's conferences and magazine have featured people with pro-Russian viewpoints and who criticize the economic sanctions on Russia, such as the Czech President Miloš Zeman. The magazine has also featured Alexander Karelin, the former Greco-Roman wrestler and a United Russia party member of the Russian State Duma.[7] References1. ^{{cite web|title=Youth time presskit|url=http://www.slideshare.net/YouthTime/youth-time-presskit|publisher=Youth Time|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20140826113455/http://www.slideshare.net/YouthTime/youth-time-presskit|archivedate=August 26, 2014|date=26 March 2013}} 2. ^1 Lachèvre, Cyrille (20 April 2012).
