The 1889 Italian Penal Code, commonly known as Zanardelli Code ({{lang-it|Codice Zanardelli}}) was the penal code in force in the Kingdom of Italy from 1890 to 1930. It was named after Giuseppe Zanardelli, then Minister of Justice, who promoted the approval of the code.[1] It unified penal legislation in Italy, abolished capital punishment and recognised the right to strike.[2] References1. ^Lacche, Luigi.
