The most dramatic temperature changes occur in North American climates susceptible to Chinook winds. For example, the largest 2-minute temperature change of {{convert|49|F-change|1}} occurred in Spearfish, South Dakota, a rise from {{convert|-4|to|45|F|C|1}}.
