Facing the verdict that he has released many albums with many different music genres as a reassurance for revenue, he shared: "I want my music to reach everyone, to many music lovers out there, it's right to say that I'm greedy for experiencing many genres, but I don't want to make myself more exclusive to narrow down the amount of supportive audience, since music is for everyone, an universal language, then why do I have to go against it? I firmly confirm that my album is not neither specific nor high end, as I would like to represent music to the majority of audience out there"

During his career, he has had many duets and collaborations with A list artists like: Cam Ly, Phuong Thanh, Thanh Thao, Quang Linh, My Tam, Ho Quynh Huong, Ho Ngoc Ha,...Cam Ly is said to be one of his best and most successful featured artist. Dan Truong is the first ever Vietnamese artist to buy legal copyright of songs, as an opening for professional music market progress. He is rated to be the first generation of launching technique in Vietnam for recognized talent and exclusive campaigns. Songwriter Le Quang: "Talking about launching technique we must mention Hoang Tuan's era, who has been taking care of Dan Truong precisely, from song orders to costumes. However, in the past there was not as many tricks as nowadays. Tricks could boost the fame of anyone but without talent, it's not lasting". Singer Thanh Thao: "Talking about artists who become famous by launching technique, it must be Dan Truong - Hoang Tuan, Nguyen Phi Hung - Thuy Nguyen, Huu Minh - Cam Ly. Those are successful singer - manager duos that own their own strategies despite launching technique wasn't as much assisted as nowadays". Singer Cam Ly: "Dan Truong is the example of real idol thank to the impact of appearance, lovely voice and the most important thing is his sense when it comes to choose his songs. He is quick to update music trends all over the world as they first entered Vietnam like hip-hop, R&B, dance,....as well as being a trendsetter for young artists to sing traditional and ballad folk songs,...According to songwriter Huu Minh, when the new adapts the current trends along with the culture of Vietnamese people, it will be widely welcomed by everyone. "His success was partially made by smart new trend adaption" - he confirmed.

Since the debut, he has shown great impact on music market of Vietnam. In 2001, when Vietnam music was still on short of resources and quality music shows, he had the first liveshow Cam On Cuoc Doi. Currently, he has already had 13 liveshows and most of them were carefully invested and prepared as well as have the highest number of the attendance. Especially, the 20th anniversary album Cam On Doi (2016) at Military Base 7 Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City has set record for the highest number of attendance in Vietnam (14,000). Before this, the record had belonged to My Tam for her Ngay Ay - Bay Gio show (2004) which was also at Military Base 7 Stadium (13,000). In 2002, he was the first Vietnamese artist to have music video filmed oversea for the album Dan Truong in China - Phong Ba Tinh Doi. All the albums and music videos were planned and released every year. Until 2005, the format of album selling alongside fan signing was also applied by Hoang Tuan in their Taiwan trip. Later, this promotion has been adapted by many artists as well. Especially, he is known to be one of the trendsetter and most successful artist to make historical music videos in Vietnam, one of them were: Phong Ba Tinh Doi, Cuoc Tinh Cay Dang, Cho Tren Thang Nam, Me Toi, Loi Ru Ngan Doi, Thien Tu,...

Dan Truong is a popular artist whose songs, albums and liveshows are not meant to be exploring and experiencing like others but likely as an entertainment in order to approach more audience across Vietnam. Facing the verdict that performing in small towns and provinces is not for his current status but only for C list artists, he frankly shared his opinion as: "To me, an A list artist should be well known by everyone, specifically across Vietnam. Many famous artists only experience the types of music that suit big cities as it's unknown to determine whether or not it could please people's taste from further regions". "Many brands when inviting artists, they have to carefully sort out and choose someone who is able to fit and please many types of audience also", he explained.

He has a professional fanclub system across Vietnam including 100,000 members who are given official memberships even. Up to now, he has performed around 900 songs, released more than 60 CDs, DVDs and sold more than 2 million copies.

There's been many artists shared their admiration towards him and set him as an inspiration for their music career like: Quoc Thien, Isaac, Thanh Duy, Son Ngoc Minh, Vu Cat Tuong, Bao Thy, Dong Nhi, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Hoai Lam, Ngo Kien Huy, Ho Quang Hieu,...
