It is a divisional mechanized combat engineer unit, composed of four line companies and a headquarters company. As of 17 January 2015, the battalion exists as the 10th Brigade Engineer Battalion (10th BEB) at Fort Stewart, GA under the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division.
