The 1945 Northwestern Wildcats team represented Northwestern University during the 1945 Big Ten Conference football season. In their 11th year under head coach Pappy Waldorf, the Wildcats compiled a 4–4–1 record (3–3–1 against Big Ten Conference opponents) and finished in fourth place in the Big Ten Conference.[2] End Max Morris and guard Jim Lecture were selected by both the Associated Press and United Press as first-team players on the 1945 All-Big Ten Conference football team.[3][4] Morris was also selected as a consensus first-team All-American.[5]
