Haris Al-Maliki won their third consecutive title, a record at the time before they defended their title again the following campaign. Only one other side (Al-Shorta) managed to replicate Haris Al-Maliki's feat of three consecutive Central League titles.[1][2][3][4] Five teams in total participated in the round-robin tournament: Haris Al-Maliki, Al-Maliki, Kuliya Al-Askariya, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and Al-Amir.[5] References1. ^Iraq 1962/63-1972/73 2. ^History of Iraqi Domestic Football 3. ^History of the League of the Institutes 4. ^[https://ahdaaf.me/2015/07/21/people-must-know-their-history-the-rise-and-fall-of-the-iraqi-elites-football-teams/ PEOPLE MUST KNOW THEIR HISTORY: THE RISE AND FALL OF THE IRAQI ELITE’S FOOTBALL TEAMS] 5. ^[https://imgur.com/b44TsLo Iraqi Central League table at 30 January 1951] External links
