The 1955 UC Santa Barbara Gauchos football team represented Santa Barbara College[1] during the 1955 college football season.

Santa Barbara competed in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). The team was led by eighth-year head coach Stan Williamson, and played home games at La Playa Stadium in Santa Barbara, California. They finished the season with a record of three wins and six losses (3–6, 1–1 CCAA).

2. ^The official name of Cal Poly has been California Polytechnic State University since 1947. However, it is more commonly known as either Cal Poly San Luis Obispo or just Cal Poly.
3. ^California State University, Los Angeles (Cal State LA) was known as Los Angeles State College of Applied Arts and Sciences from 1947 to 1963.
