North Carolina voters chose fourteen[4] representatives, or electors, to the Electoral College, who voted for president and vice president. North Carolina was won by Adlai Stevenson (D–Illinois), running with Senator Estes Kefauver, with 50.66% of the popular vote against incumbent President Dwight D.
