The 1982 San Francisco State Gators football team represented San Francisco State University during the 1982 NCAA Division II football season.

San Francisco State competed in the Far Western Conference (FWC).[1] The Gators were led by head coach Vic Rowen in his 22nd year at the helm. They played home games at Cox Stadium in San Francisco, California. The team finished the season with a record of four wins and six losses (4–6, 2–3 FWC). For the season the team was outscored by its opponents 163–218.
