Notes

  • {{note|1|1}} The match between Cobh Ramblers and Kilkenny City on 23 October 1999 was abandoned after 40 minutes due to floodlight failure. The match was replayed on 1 December 1999 with City winning 3–2.
  • {{note|2|2}} The 3–2 result of the match between Kilkenny City and Limerick F.C. on 12 November 1999 was annulled because City fielded an ineligible. The match was replayed on 20 April 2000 ending 1–0. However the result was disputed and a civil judge ruled that it should never have been played. As a result, the 3–2 score from the original match was reinstated.
  • {{note|3|3}} St Francis F.C. changed their club name to Fingal–St. Francis F.C. at the start of the season.
