The 2004 Sacramento State Hornets football team represented Sacramento State University[1] during the 2004 NCAA Division I-AA football season.

Sacramento State competed in the Big Sky Conference. The Hornets were led by second-year head coach Steve Mooshagian and played home games at Hornet Stadium in Sacramento, California. They finished the season with a record of three wins and eight losses (3–8, 2–5 Big Sky). Sacramento State was outscored by its opponents 190–415 for the season.
