{{Green Party of the United States}}

Joshua Brown, a working-class Occupy supporter from California who was unsuccessful in a bid to wrestle the Democratic Party's nomination from President Obama, changed his registration to Green Party and filed an exploratory committee to run on the Green Party's ticket. He never expanded the campaign beyond the exploratory phase, but he posted and mailed signs around town saying "JOSHUA BROWN FOR PRESIDENT 2012 WORKERS OF THE WORLD UNITE!" His platform included a "$20.00 minimum wage. Free healthcare. Legalize Marijuana and Tax the sale. Free Internet College for all under and graduate degrees at the city colleges. It is time that anyone who wants to be a lawyer, nurse, doctor, or any degree is free on the internet for all US citizens, including books. Lower Property taxes. Union jobs back. No killing at the animal shelters. 1,000,000+ of new modular apartments where the rent is no more than $200 for a 1 bedroom. We will make the schools in America the best in the world. Fund Autism research. No cell phone towers within 1000 yards of any home. Dogs allowed in restaurants and clubs like they are in France. Equal rights for everyone. Get rid of the Patriot Act. I want to get our constitution and freedoms back. I have a lot of other great ideas to make America the best country in the world." His biggest attack against President Obama was a claim that Obama authorized the National Security Agency (NSA) to kill him, and therefore called for his impeachment.

Brown ultimately declined to run, because he felt he had entered too late to win the Green Party's nod, and that Dr. Jill Stein, the front-runner and eventual nominee, had already secured the delegates necessary to win.
