It was the sixth round of the 2016 GP2 season and the fourth round of the 2016 GP3 season. The race weekend supported the 2016 Hungarian Grand Prix. BackgroundRichard Gonda returned to the GP3 grid after missing the third round at Silverstone. ReportGP2 SeriesQualifyingPierre Gasly secured his second pole position of the year in dominant fashion. With a time of 1:25.612, Gasly was over half a second faster than nearest competitor, Sergey Sirotkin.
