The voters elected candidates for mayor, vice mayor, and ten councilors. Incumbent 2nd district board member Cristy Angeles became the first female mayor of Tarlac City after defeating Allan Manalang (son of incumbent Mayor Gelacio Manalang, who unsuccessfully ran for the governorship post).[1] In the vice mayoral race, incumbent Vice Mayor Anne Belmonte was defeated by former Mayor Aro Mendoza, who also endorsed Cristy Angeles for Mayor. ResultsThe candidates for mayor and vice mayor with the highest number of votes wins the seat; they are voted separately, therefore, they may be of different parties when elected.[2] Mayoral and vice mayoral elections{{Election box begin no change | title=Tarlac City mayoralty election}}{{Election box winning candidate with party link no change||party = Nationalist People's Coalition |candidate = Cristy Angeles |votes = 81,886 |percentage = 56.21 }}{{Election box candidate with party link no change| |party = Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino |candidate = Allan Manalang |votes = 62,845 |percentage = 43.14 }}{{Election box candidate with party link no change| |party = Independent (politician) |candidate = Roger Tomaroy |votes = 945 |percentage = 0.65 }}{{Election box margin of victory no change |votes = 19,041 |percentage = 13.07 |change = }}{{Election box valid no change |votes = 145,676 |percentage = 93.29 }}{{Election box invalid no change |votes = 10,478 |percentage = 6.71 }}{{Election box total no change |votes = 156,154 |percentage = 100.00 }}{{Election box gain with party link without swing |winner = Nationalist People's Coalition |loser = Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino |swing = }}{{Election box end}}{{Election box begin no change | title=Tarlac City vice mayoralty election}}{{Election box winning candidate with party link no change| |party = Independent (politician) |candidate = Aro Mendoza |votes = 52,660 |percentage = 36.84 }}{{Election box candidate with party link no change| |party = Nationalist People's Coalition |candidate = Anne Belmonte |votes = 43,200 |percentage = 30.22 }}{{Election box candidate with party link no change| |party = Independent (politician) |candidate = Ato Chua |votes = 21,641 |percentage = 15.14 }}{{Election box candidate with party link no change| |party = Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino |candidate = Noel Soliman |votes = 20,012 |percentage = 14.00 }}{{Election box candidate with party link no change| |party = Independent (politician) |candidate = Pepe Rigor |votes = 4,705 |percentage = 3.29 }}{{Election box candidate with party link no change| |party = Independent (politician) |candidate = Paul David Santos |votes = 725 |percentage = 0.51 }}{{Election box margin of victory no change |votes = 9,460 |percentage = 6.62 |change = }}{{Election box valid no change |votes = 142,943 |percentage = 91.54 }}{{Election box invalid no change |votes = 13,211 |percentage = 8.46 }}{{Election box total no change |votes = 156,154 |percentage = 100.00 }}{{Election box gain with party link without swing |winner = Independent (politician) |loser = Nationalist People's Coalition |swing = }}{{Election box end}} City CouncilTarlac City, will elect Sangguniang Panlungsod or city council members.
