The race was won for the first time since 2016 by {{ct|QST|2018}}, finishing 18.46 seconds clear of the defending champions, {{ct|SUN|2018|nolink=yes}},[1] while the {{ct|BMC|2018}} completed the podium, a further 1.09 seconds in arrears.[4]
The race consisted of a route {{convert|62.4|km|abbr=off}} in length, starting from Ötztal and ending in Innsbruck. The route was primarily rolling, except for a climb of {{convert|4.5|km|abbr=off}} between Kematen in Tirol and Axams, with an average 5.5% gradient and maximum of 13% in places.[5]
All twenty-two teams completed the {{convert|62.4|km|adj=on}}-long course.[1]
