Teams will participate at several levels of competition. The competition will also serve as qualifications for the 2020 competition. Championship (Top Division){{details|2019 IIHF Women's World Championship}}The tournament will be held in Espoo, Finland 4 April – 14 April 2019, and for the first time will have ten nations participating.[1]

Group BThe Group B tournament will be held in Beijing, China from 6 to 12 April 2019.[2]
