The 2019–20 FIA Formula E season will be the sixth season of the FIA Formula E championship, a motor racing championship for electrically-powered vehicles recognised by motorsport's governing body, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as the highest class of competition for electric open-wheel racing cars.

Team changes

  • Mercedes EQ Formula E Team will enter the championship while HWA will run Mercedes' trackside operations.[4]
  • Porsche will join the grid as a new entry.[5]

Driver changes

  • Neel Jani will return to Formula E as a Porsche Formula E driver.[6]

Calendar changes

  • Formula E will make its début in South Korea. A street circuit in Seoul has been named as the planned venue.[8]
  • The London ePrix will return to the calendar for the first time since the 2015–16 season and host a double-header finale to the 2019-20 season. The race is planned to take place on a circuit based in and around the ExCeL London convention center and the Royal Docks.[10]
