It was created on June 7, 1918 by Colonel Pavel Ivanov-Rinov and its headquarters were in Omsk. On January 3, 1919 a 3rd Steppe Siberian Army Corps under command of Grigory Verzhbitsky was formed by separating the 3rd and 4th rifle divisions from the 2nd Steppe Siberian Corps. Commanders
