The college also has nursing campuses in other locations throughout the state. The school is a part of the Vermont State Colleges, a consortium of Vermont's four public colleges, governed by a common board of trustees, chancellor and Council of Presidents, each college with its own president and deans. AthleticsThe college is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) in the Yankee Small College Conference. From 2006 to 2011, Vermont Tech was a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and played within the Sunrise Conference.[3][4] The Knights currently sponsor men's and women's basketball, cross country, soccer and golf. Student radio stationWVTC, Vermont Tech's 300-watt fully licensed radio station, broadcasts online at http://www.wvtc.net and locally at 90.7FM. CubeSat LabThe Vermont Tech CubeSat Lab launched its first satellite, the Vermont Lunar CubeSat, a 1U CubeSat on November 19, 2013, and was fully functional until reentry on November 21, 2015. It is still the only successful university satellite from a college or university in New England or the east coast of the U.S. They are now working on the flight software for Lunar IceCube which has a ride to the moon on NASA's Space Launch System.
