HistoryDuring the First World War it began its operations with its headquarters at Namur under Lieutenant-General Augustin Édouard Michel du Faing d'Aigremont.{{sfn|CARL|2005}} It initially comprised the 8th, 10th, 13th, and 15th Mixed Brigades. It existed prior to the outbreak of the Battle of Belgium.
