ProductionVijay Kaviraj, a former associate director of S. A. Chandrasekhar, made his directorial debut with the film and convinced isaignani Ilaiyaraja to compose the film's soundtrack. Bharath was selected to play the lead role, while Pooja Jhaveri was signed as the heroine.
